Uprades…

Took the day off yesterday…I just had a hard day…so, to be totally honest I slept most of the day…

This week they are working on our building…we are getting new flooring on our first floor…

new carpet

This is the new carpet coming up the hall from the parking lot…it is a really pretty color…and what is nice is that it is in squares so if some of it gets worn they will only have to replace that particular piece.

new flooring

This is the new flooring that is runs in front of our mail zone, offices, and elevator.  It is really pretty.  And, it think it will make our building looks so nice.

The hallway to the right is being done…as well as the card room.  Can’t wait.  It should all be finished this week,

A Year…

  mom1

It’s been a year today…and I miss you each and every day.

Goals for New Year – 2014

As I set up my Reading list last night…I realized I didn’t read nearly as many books in 2013…only 34 compared to 75 in 2012.  So this year I really want to try and read 52.

On the knitting front – there are a couple of Knit-A-Longs for the year…I think there are 4 from one place.  The second one starts on February 14.  There are a couple of pair of socks in the needles – and I want to finish them off…plus I am starting a new pair tomorrow – two shades of orange – and I’ll be mixing it up…going to be interesting.

I am so behind on my quilting…and I really, really want to get back to it.  I miss being creative…so time to get back into the groove.

It was a rough year…Mom and Killian both passed away…and I just lost interest in just about everything…

Onward and forward … 2014 is going to be my YEAR…

There was a lot of knitting but I can’t seem to get the photos to load…

Hats, scarves, dish towels, dish clothes and wash clothes.  I’m going to do better this year…and post my finished projects when I get them finished.

New Year…

Starting the New Year … and I look forward to having a great year…learning new skills with my knitting and quilting; reading more wonderful books; being more active and getting out in my community more; and just plain enjoying my life.

My new baby, Savannah, has adjusted well … and she is a sweet kitty.

So here is to a new year…

2013 in review

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2013 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

A San Francisco cable car holds 60 people. This blog was viewed about 1,900 times in 2013. If it were a cable car, it would take about 32 trips to carry that many people.
